For the roms, you can point this to MAME rom folder in both aae.ini as well in multife config to use mame rom set. Howover if you have dummy files in the AAE roms directory, you should point it to that for a faster scan.

This use NMS database files

This emulator use NMS files and typical the newest version is placed in the profiles files, when you update MultiFE. Howover if a emulator is updated, but not have the newest NMS file, you should update it and send it to me (Space Fractal). You can checkout how it works by open the NMS file in NOTEPAD which can been found in the profile dir.
