+ Help - Should I use ID3 or FileMask tags?
Using FileMask
I highly recommered you to use FileMask rather than ID3 tags, because MultiFE would scan your folder a MUCH MUCH faster and MultiFe still not support update a library, but need completly refresh a library.
Here is some typical examples of most typical ways (using c:\music\ as path) for both albums and singles libraies:
- C:\music\ARTIST\ALBUM\TRACK - TITLE.mp3
- C:\music\GENRE\ARTIST\ALBUM\TRACK - TITLE.mp3
- C:\music\LETTER\ARTIST\ALBUM\TRACK - TITLE.mp3
- C:\music\ARTIST - TITLE.mp3
- C:\music\ARTIST\TITLE.m33
When you creating a FileMask in MultiFE, you simply tell the library how it should search after under the File Mask option. Unicode at filelevel is also supported in MultiFE, both on Windows and Linux (not fully tested but seen it just use UTF8 Unicode format).
Using Id3 tags
Make sure all files is tagged, elsewice they would NOT show in the list. If MultiFE fail to read a tag, it would been show in the multife.log file. This scantype is rather slow.
